Royal Caribbean announced that the Harmony of the Seas, the third in the Oasis-class line, will be the world’s largest cruise ship. Due to launch in April 2016, the ship will measure 227,000 tons and carry 5,479 passengers.

The 16-deck ship will hold 100 more passengers than the Oasis and Allure, which are the largest ships currently sailing.

We are orchestrating a medley of new exciting concepts with the best Royal Caribbean innovations to strike the perfect chord for adventurous vacationers. That is why we are calling our third Oasis-class ship Harmony of the Seas,” said President and CEO Michael Bayley in a press release.

The Harmony will include multi-deck waterslides, a first for the brand, and a “bionic bar” with robotic bartenders.

According to Royal Caribbean, some of the Harmony’s cabins will be larger than those of its predecessors. Passengers will also have the option of booking windowless “Virtual Balcony” cabins, with floor-to-ceiling screens projecting real-time views of the view outside.

The eateries featured on Harmony of the Seas include the whimsical Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine restaurant, and Sabor, the modern Mexican restaurant which debuted on Freedom of the Seas.

Harmony will be organized into seven different zones: Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place, and Youth Zone. If you have your own home based travel agent business, you can count on the Harmony of the Seas being a hot attraction!
