There seems to be apps for just about everything, so it’s no surprise that there are some useful ones out there that can aid you in running your travel business. Each of these mobile tools is accessible on Apple and Android devices to help agents achieve organization, take notes anywhere, and grow your business no matter what adventure your life takes you on next.

1. Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a social media organizational tool available as an app as well as your computer’s internet browser. The free version of this program provides you the ability to access and post from up to 3 social media accounts. You can also schedule posts to ensure your accounts stay active and engaging even when you are out of the office. To connect more social media accounts or schedule more than 30 postings at once, users can upgrade to a paid plan.

2. Guides by Lonely Planet

Need a crash course in a specific destination or a quick brush up on a popular vacation spot before a client meeting? Download Guides by Lonely Planet, and you’ll have a world of knowledge at your fingertips. With authoritative and well-researched guides to over 200 cities around the globe, this app allows you to explore a destination from the screen of your phone. It allows users to access the maps, audio phrasebooks, currency converters, and city advice even if they are offline, making it a great tool for clients on vacation as well.

3. Canva

Canva is the perfect companion for advertising and posting about your business. This app allows you to create graphics that are already sized for Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat stories, and more. This simple-to-use software allows you to alter a template or build a post from scratch to fit your businesses colors, fonts, and logos. Most templates are free to use, and you can also upload your own images to work with. Once you’ve created an image, it’s easy to post and share it. You can also access Canva’s design tools at canva.com.

4. Evernote

If you struggle with staying organized, Evernote may be the lifesaver you’ve been looking for. This handy app allows you to save articles, documents, scans, photos, and the notes that you take in one place. It also allows you to “stack” and “tag” files to help sort them more easily. Best of all, Evernote can sync its content across your mobile devices and with your computer meaning that everything is together, and you can access it from anywhere.

5. Scanbot

Looking for a way to digitize all those papers, photos, and receipts you have cluttering up your workspace? Scanbot can scan everything: documents, receipts, QR Codes, Barcodes, labels, photos, whiteboards, and more. It allows you to save the scan as either a PDF or JPEG file and place them into the folders you create or upload. You can secure sensitive files with a passcode. As a bonus, Scanbot can send scans as faxes, meaning this app can take the place of a scanner and fax machine!

6. Grammarly Keyboard

Sometimes spell check just isn’t enough, especially when you are typing on a phone; that’s where Grammarly can step in. Grammarly Keyboard helps to make sure that what you send to clients and business associates, and post online is “clear, effective, and mistake-free.” This app makes suggestions based on the context of your writing as well as the standard grammar and punctuation rules.
